Our Purpose & Philosophy
REACH UP – To take your next step spiritually!
2 Peter 3:18 says, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever, Amen."
Throughout your day you must have a time devoted to spending time alone with God. You can do that by having your devotions, God & I time, and prayer. All Bible- believing Christians are at different stages in their walk with God. So, in order to “grow in grace” you must be taking your next step spiritually.
For example: Someone who just received Christ as their Redeemer, their next step spiritually is to develop a daily Bible study
so he or she can learn more about God.
For someone who has been saved for some length of time their next step spiritually maybe to start memorizing Bible verses.
You are either becoming more like God or the like the world every day. Which steps are you taking? Are you striving to take your next step spiritually?

REACH IN – To encourage and sharpen other believers in the Lord!
Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man
sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
Many people that you will come in contact with today need your encouragement. The Bible says that we are to sharpen each other and you can do that by dropping a note to someone and to let them know you are praying for them, a special phone call just to thank them for their faithfulness to God, or pay a visit to someone just to spend time with them and let them know that you care.
You will be surprised how many Christians you are around everyday that need God centered encouragement. Encouragement and exhortation strengthen your bones (Prov. 16:24). Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18:21).
How are you using your words today? Have you “sharpened” anyone lately?

REACH OUT – To proclaim the Gospel to the lost.
Mark 16:15 says, “And he [Jesus] said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Many Christians today find a comfort zone around other Christians and live their life with such an inward focus that as if being around unsaved people is a sin.
For Example: You wake up in your Christian bed and put on your Christian clothes after you eat your Christian breakfast.
You then hop into your Christian car and drive to your Christian work or school. After school or work you play your Christian sports, drive home in your Christian car to eat your Christian dinner then watch your Christian television and then put on your Christian pajamas and turn into your Christian bed. Then the cycle begins all over again day…after…day!
What a TRAGEDY!
Let me clarify, The Bible commands us to live a holy lifestyle and to be set apart from worldly influences (1 Peter 1:15-16; 1 John 2:15-17). So having guidelines and standards is right, BUT what I’m trying to point out to you is that there is no Christian OUTREACH. It’s just an inward comfortable lifestyle and that is what is devastating to the Christian faith. It has been well said, “The greatest thing a man can do is lead another man to Christ.” When was the last time you came in contact with an unsaved person and you told them the Good News? Are you reaching out?
